Socks… we all wear them! We want our socks to fit well and match our outfits but we don’t usually stop to think about where they come from or where they’re going to end up. Socklab believes that socks should be high quality. Not just when it comes to convenience, comfort and function, but also in terms of feel and well-being. Our socks have a functional and an emotional value. A sock is just a sock, isn’t it? Not at Socklab. Our socks are different. Read on to find out why.
We are not newcomers in the world of socks. Let’s go back in time to the year 2009. Socklab’s parent company, Euro Sox Plus, made its entrance in the textile world. Euro Sox put itself on the map by designing socks for big retailers with well-known brands. The brand didn’t become really well known until about five years ago though, when the Alzheimer SOCKS were launched.
A pair of Alzheimer SOCKS includes two different socks. This conscious choice symbolises the confusion that people with dementia have to deal with day in day out. When you purchase a pair of these socks, you are also supporting research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Dutch fashion designers Mart Visser and Frans Molenaar designed the first socks, which were launched in 2015.
We don’t believe in hype. What we do believe in is continuous innovation. Creativity and reinvention are in our blood. We respond to current developments, opportunities and demands in the market. We produce socks that are relevant and contribute to the well-being of both the wearer and the world around us. We are always on the lookout for developments in the field of technology, materials and sustainability.
Our Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Gold socks combine maximum comfort for the wearer with a minimal ecological footprint. These socks are made entirely from organic materials, processed using renewable energy. All raw materials in the production chain are healthy for people and the planet. They also meet strict ecological requirements. We supply socks that are good not just for the people who put them on, but for the people who made them too.
We are proud. Proud of our product and proud of our organisation. Our employees and partners love working together every day to bring innovative products to the market. In our case, socks that look and feel great.
